Can anyone tell me whether NSW RN qualifications are sufficient to work in New York? Specifically my degree does not include the required hours of study and clinical in Midwifery/Obstetrics or Pediatrics. I would love to hear from anyone who has gained Licensure in NYS? is it possible to get this without these, for example with 12 months as RN in critical care hospital instead.

NY requirements are very specific and need to be adhered to regardless of what area you end up working in. However, do not despair! There are modules offered externally via Deakin University. Get in contact with Christine Smith (chirstine.smith@deakin.edu.au). She's been a great help for me! I'm not planning to do my modules until I've completed my GNP so I dont know much mroe than that.
