I honestly cant remember if i gave 500mg of vanc over 30mins or 1hr.....im very vague even on giving it, but i remember getting out a green vial...

its just that i woke up this morning at 4am from a nightmare that i gave a wrong medication too fast or something and now im wondering if i gave the medication too fast.....im hoping its all just a bad dream, but its got me worried. I know you can get red man syndrome, and i know that ive given one patient 1g too fast, but slowed it down when i realised and he was ok. But still, it has me worried if this was real or not. Coz im now fretting that i didnt give the medication....coz the patient was on contact precautions and i cant remember if i took the whole thing in with me or just the syringes. and im 99%sure it was the right patient...

god i hate this stress....

would you report it? even though it was 2 days ago, and your not sure what rate you set it at?
