Hi All
I'm interested in critical care, and wondering if anyone knew of a grad program that included ICU or ED? Even just for the second 6 months? I know that usually a couple of years ward experience is required, and I understand why but I just finished a 3 week prac in ICU and just can't imagine devoting two years of my life to ward work :S

We have that in Darwin, but you don't always get your request...

I have 2 friends who did CCU and the other did a ER/ICU rotation for prac, and they got into the ICU grad program at Royal Brisbane. THey start on Dec 14, coz they have so much education to do before they start. I think the Mater also has a ICU program. But apparently its harder to go from ER to ICU, easier to do ICU first then ER. Most major tertiary hospitals would have ER grad programs, but they are popular so hard to get in.
