I am an international nursing student from the UK studying in my final yr at Southern Cross University NSW. I complete my Bachelor of nursing (fingers crossed...!) in October 2010. I plan to stay in Australia to peruse my nursing career and aim to get my Australian residency. I have been trying to find out if I am eligible to apply for GNP (starting 2011). At the moment I am getting passed from pillar to post. Some information I have got back says you must be an Australian resident or from New Zealand to apply for GNP. I would love to get into oncology or palliative care nursing. If any one has any advice I would be very grateful to hear it, or may be you know of someone who has also completed their degree in Australia as an International student and is now working here.

Look forward to reading some replies!

Hi, how did you go with your VISA?

Thanks.
