Dawn65 (offline) Joined: Jan 2013 Location: Posts: 2	Tue Jan 15, 2013 12:01 pm I have done half of my B Nursing on campus at a NSW uni, but due to circumstance i need to finish it by distance. I have applied for a place at Central QLD uni, but im very nervous about it. Im concerned about the residential schools and also wonder if work placements will be organised close to where i live. I would love to hear from anyone who has done their degree through CQU distance.

I live in Sydney so distance was a huge worry for me. After talking to the staff there, I understand that they will place you for your clinical practices close to home. You select a few around you and they will apply on your behalf however I'm told that you have to get in very early as places fill up. There are four residential schools in QLD that you can attend and after looking at my timetable I'll have to go there for three days in April and then for one day in September which isnt to bad.
