I am studying Enrolled Nursing in Melbourne but I believe most States are the same.  After the first semester (six months) when we had completed our aged care placement, our college gave everyone a certificate III in aged care so we could work in nursing homes while we were studying.  This has worked out well for most and some who do agency work, which is really easy to apply for, are working in hospitals as well and loving it.  You will be time-poor and most can only do one shift a week with the workload.  Afternoon shifts are more user friendly if you can get away from school on time to get to work.  Hope this helps.

I think it, generally depend on each individual that how he manages and divide his work in time he/she has in total. And with how much interest someone is doing and willing to perform their job along with studies. But of course, if managed well it could be of great help for students, not just as financial help but experience also.

as a student EN you can work as a PCA in aged care or as a AIN, most places will employ you as a student EN without a cert III and there are always jobs in aged care in brisbane.

good luck.
