Congrats on the early offer. I got one too, but for Logan campus. Have been trying to find others that also got GU BNUR early offer. I know there won't be many, but surely they are on the net somewhere! lol

Across the 4 GU campuses, through every single degree offered, only about 150 get an early offer. Early offers are all mature aged students, as OP scores haven't been released yet, but generally it's for the highest qualified applicants that the uni wants to grab up before other uni's do. I've found one other person who got an early offer, but it's for a B of Midwifery, just same campus as myself.

I have to ask- where the heck did you find books needed for this semester? I've been waiting for so long for the course profiles to open, which they haven't yet, so I can order them. It's so frustrating! BTW, planing on transfering to GC campus for next year. That new hospital is really calling to me.

very happy with my t/table, i have spread it over 4 days also.
At the moment I am trying to wean by 11 month old, so far so good. Ill be alot happier once my older kids have settled in school and I have a few frozen dinners in the freezer!! I am going to organise my books this week, it keep trying to find second hand ones. Did you buy new or second hand?
Long-haul.. if you go to the co-op bookstore and put the course codes in it tells you the books you need, Computers - are you taking a laptop to campus each day?? Thanks anna

Thanks supermum- went up to Logan campus today and got the book list then went to the library and borrowed all but 1 of the books and reserved them aswell for the rest of the semester so that I can just renew it each month and not worry about someone else putting in a request for them (Librarian told me how to do that lol). I'm planning on taking one of the tablets in, to record the lectures, so I can focus on them at the time, and then listen again when I get home and take notes. Also means that coming up to exam period I will be able to put them onto an ipod and listen to them on there.

Ohhhhh, thats a good idea Longhaul!!....I did see also that the lectures are put online after the classes, so that will help us all too!!....Ive also decided to go into uni and do some of the earlybird courses to brush up and learn some tips for assignments, researching etc, etc...The ipod thing sounds like a great idea too...Thanks for the heads up:)

hey guys :) im excited to say im starting BN @ GC griff next month too :) feeling pretty lost atm tho cos its all so new to me and i have no idea! i managed to successfully enrol and get my studen ID etc but i havnt got books or anything. My timetable seems okay although its only 1 x tutorial, 1 x lecture and 1 x common time. does that seem right? i thought there would be more to do than 3 things. have i done it wrong? where can i find this list of books i need? i went to the co-op online and only managed to find 1 book needed. the patient and person one?

Hi Ashycole!!....Congratulations to you, its so exciting...But, dont worry I feel your nervousness and stress as well...All new to me as well!! Good one for getting in and doing your thing, but, we have four subjects a lecture, tutorial and lab for most things....common time is automatically enrolled into our days....I forgot, unless you are doing part time, I think it is two subjects!...If you are not sure, ring student services or pop in, they are a gift!!...If you need help or advice or just a friendly face when we get to orientation...I have no probs in giving you my email:).

Hi, Is anyone else out there studying BN at Nathan 2012? I am a mature age student and it would be good to hear from anyone else out there. I have my timetable for Mondays (Lectures all day in which I hope to be able to use podcast) and Thurs/Fridays.

Hi Ash!!...Im Mel and live 5 mins away from Gc Uni...I am a young 38...I have paid for the parking, I had a chat with the security guy and parking people on open night. Im glad you got your timetable sorted and yes the O day is on the 22nd. I am going in for the earlybird courses and inteested in any tips I can get!!...Would be good if others came forward hey, would help with the overwhelming feeling on O day!...The griffith portal seems to be very important to your learning, I have been spening a fair bit of time on there too...Trying to keep one step ahead while I can...blue card, afp check, immunisations....Doing everything I can before I start so I dont have to stress later on:)....Have you been in to the uni?? :)
