Dear All,

My name is Karma. I am planning to take the entrance test in next month. I am an immigrant and both my English and Maths standard are not very good. I am fairly worried whether I can pass the test or not.
Would you please help me - how to study and where to get resources for studying apart the vetassess sample tests?
Greatly appreciate your response soon.
Kind regards,
Karma

As far as I know, you may re sit the test after 3 months' time.

You can apply to do the test as many times as you like but you need to wait three months before applying again.

I too plan to sit my test again after august.

I am currently doing a Transition into Health, Nursing and Aged care, it is a short course and helps you with literacy and maths for the vetassess test aswell as going over medical terminology. It finishes in september so i asume there will be another short course starting after that which runs for eight weeks.

Regards

Georgie

Hi Karma, as I understand it, many TAFEs offer courses in literacy and numeracy specifically for such entry purposes. I know most courses are available for a very minimal price (I think it's like $30 at the local tafe in my area), and also assess if you are ready for tertiary studies.
