Hi there,

What a fantastic website - now I don't feel so isolated! Just wondering if there is anyone who will be beginning Diploma of Enrolled Nursing at Mt Lawley TAFE in July? If there is anyone currently at this TAFE, could you please tell me what to expect?

Thanks

Hi I am doing my enrolled nurising at MT Barker Tafe I will be finished in December there is alot of work involved if you go fulltime if you manage your time well and are organised you will be fine but I can tell you I have had a few weak moments when I think it is all too much but I have hang on.Mind you my husband left me and my 3 kids the same week that I was accepted so I have had a few obstacles to overcome and my motivation to be nurse got me through so STAY MOTIVATED and think of what is at the end of it all I still cant believe that I will be a nurse by the end of the yr.Gracie in Adealaide

Hi Gracie,

Thank you for responding to my post and the wonderful advice for studying EN. Congratulations on your status with EN; it must be very exciting that you are nearly finished. You have overcome quite a battle with what happened at the start of your nursing, well done with being persistent - I'm sure it will pay off. I received my timetable the other day and it is VERY VERY full! 13 out of the 26 units covered in nursing are in the first semester. I am assuming they are doing this to phase out those who may not be suitable or want to put in the hard work. All the best with your studies.
