Hi everyone,

I am in a bit of confusion about if I should go on to do RN or not. I am an EN at the moment, and not sure if I should wait till my kids are at school till I go to uni for RN, or not. What are the pros and cons for doing RN? I have applied to do health sciences at uni for next year, which I can do in the off campus mode, but I am not sure if this is the right career path for me or if I should wait and do RN. I don't want a degree that I'm never going to use! Has anyone ever been in this boat? How does anyone really know what career is right for them?

If I get a uni offer for health sciences and decline it, does that affect future chances of getting into nursing at the same uni down the track?

Grateful for any advice : )

hi i think it is wonderful you are a mum with kids and you are working. you can decline the offer to study health science. many people have got an offer and not accepted it. it does not affect your chance at all. the decision to study RN later or now depend on you as it is 3 year course with uni and placement contact.all the best

Thanks Hecau, I am going to put off RN till later on, at least until my kids are a little older. And if I get into health sciences I will decline.
