Moni, QUT have a few subjects which requires compulsory attendance. otherwise you are pretty much allowed to your own devices....lol

If memory does not fail me and that circumstances have not changed, the following are compulsory -

1) Pharmacology - tutorial. Point loading for attendance and active participation.
2) Clinical labs - onsite lab sessions for procedures (Sub cuts, setting up IVs, ECG placements, setting up infusions, taking BPs and etc etc)
3) Some tutorials have presentations, so attend the first tutorial of each semester and work out which team you have been assigned and work with them accordingly. On occasions you might have the odd one man show where you're it when it comes to presenting a topic. These are marked so no escaping...lol
4) Clinical placements at hospitals and medical facilities - This is the work experience part. There are 5 clinical placements. CP 1,2 and 3 are 2 weeks each. CP 4 - 4 weeks, CP 5 - 8 weeks divided into 2 (4 week) blocks

Others you can study from home. You might want to go to some lectures which interest you, otherwise you can download podcast from home after the lecture from "Blackboard". Materials like lecture notes and guides are usually uploaded in advance,so yo can again download and preview if any tickles your fancy...:)

I signed up FT and completed it as a part timer within the FT framework as I had to skip a lot of my tutes and lectures due to work and family commitments. Most lectures are boring, basically reading of lecture notes...so there no real benefit for turning up.

All the best
