Whoops, part of my post was cut-off:

Hi all, I'm looking to start me diploma followed by Div.1 in the next year. My question is for the nurses who have completed study; what subjects did you find most challenging?

I would like to read anatomy and psysiology books prior to commencing my course and would just like to know what other subjects I could read up on.

Reason being is that I may feel more confident entering the course having that little knowledge behind me.

fundamentals of nursing has alot of great info and is usually needed, also nursing law would be helpful. i have a huge number of books most not needed but still useful. there is a little science and such involved aswell as basic maths :)

Hi, I would suggest you start studying anatomy and physiology as well as medical terminology. You could also brush up on your fractions and decimals. You can do practice drug calculations online. Good luck with your course.

I am just undertaking my diploma this year. However I did study a couple of years of nursing 8 years ago. I personally back then struggled with Anatomy but that was probably because I didnt know my study techniques like I do now, as I was fresh out of school. But others ive spoken to have also struggled with anatomy. So because of this I have already started to revise and get my head around it again. Also I have heard a few people struggle with nursing calculations, but that's because they let the fear of Math over take them. I think the main thing is if you need help ask for it.
