pathophysiology is about patho = pathology or diseased state, physiology is what the body normaly does, its really about the inflammation response go to youtube and type in COPD pathophysiology and the first 5 hits will tell you what you need to know simply use this information and simplify it

Hi im also studying nursing. We were told pathophysiology is the "why" of a disease. Not the cause(this is how it happens) and not the signs and symptoms(this is what happens). Its an explanation of the process within the body that results in the signs and symptoms.I dont know what sort of exam you would have?I have written assignments that will refer to for eg. what is the pathophysiology of dementia? Hope this helps.
