I have applied for a healthcare assistant traineeship,they want me to commense a aged care certificate,I thought aged care and health care were 2 separate things? Can someone clear this up for me please,thank you :)

A health care assistant is like a patient care assistant which would be like aged care where you need to shower them, feed them etc. A health services assistant(health services assistant course) is where you would work in a hospital but not necessarily have direct contact with patients. So this might be like cleaning the wards, serving patients meals, fixing beds etc. So yes they are not the same. The first one is PCA (patient care assistant or healthcare assistant) and the second one would be a PSA(patient services assistant)
