Hi everyone
I am new to this forum and thought I would introduce myself before asking my question. Why am I on this forum. I am middle aged, have had a job in an office in a large corproate jungle for 25 years and am sick of the lies, corproate climbing, lack of respect and working for controlling manipulative AH's. I have always had an more of an interest in community issues than being around those driven by power and greed. This year I have volunteered with people peopel who are affected by acquired brain injury and I know it doesnt carry the same responsibilities as workign in the sector but so far I have enjoyed my experience. One small but meanignful thing. At work no one knows when my birthday is, but the volunteer coordinator sent me a birthday card. People matter and so much of society has lost track of this. Is it any wonder there is so much depression and mental illness. (Sorry I'm on my sopabox here but humans need to care and be cared for)
So anyway, what I would like to onow and wasnt sure where to post is has anyone here had experience working in the diability sector and how have you found it,
PS this really is a great forum
bye for now Caroline (in outer Eastern Melbourne)
