Have they given you enough shifts or do you have to seek out else where only reason I am asking eventually I want to do community care. A friend of mine works for Blue care here in QLD it is the norm to build up hours before you are given consitant shifts. she has been a carer for a great number of years and is happy working her six shifts a fortnight. She also works one sunday for a private client. So anyway congrats on getting a job...

Hello.. every one. I'm very new in this forum. I have learned alot by reading it. I have finshed certificate III in aged care and HACC. I'd liked to find a job in HACC and don't know where to start. Can anyone please give an idea where to start to look? It will be a great help.

Congrats .. Well community work is more often or not advertised .. You only have to look at the job sites.. Seek. etc. Contact agencys they fill in for community work. Being in QLD we have Spiritus and Bluecare.. RSL homecare.. Ozcare..

often applying through local councils as they need community carers is a good start, then put in applications in at aged care centres...
