HI Loz, It is quite hard to get back into the books. Try a mind map. Look at the question and break it up by identifying the keywords. These should give you an idea of what each paragraph should discuss for example: Discuss the essential components of collecting a set of observations on your patient. So...... what are the vital signs you take???? temp, pulse, blood pressure, respirations etc.... what do they measure,,,,what are the normal limits............what can abnormalities indicate....what actions would you take..........Each vital sign would be a paragraph. Another thing I find helps is to do the the introduction last. That way you can reflect on what you have written and introduce it. The most important thing to do is answer the question! Often there is a marking criteria that accompanies each assessment piece and this should also outline what you need to cover. Loz, I hope this helps a little and I haven'y confused you any more!

Wendy gave some good advice on getting started on a question. Maybe post your question here, or what you are stuck on and someone may be able to give you some guidance on where to go with it. Good luck with your studies, once you get going again, you will find it very rewarding.

i am also rejoining the study wheel and like you am finding it hard to get back into the process, but i think if u r like me i sometimes overthink the question instead of just using common sense and remembering that simple answers are sometimes the best relate back to your own experiences and ask friends and families for their ideas as well. it is amazing how many people can help with what they have been through themselves am finding that some of the activities require access to a workplace which can sometimes make things difficult, but am happy to help if i can

I am just finishing my cert 3 and have started a job in an aged care facility a couple of days ago. Trust me to catch a bad cold as soon as i get the job, and i darent go near the residents til it clears. If i can help anyone i would be more than happy to point you in the right direction. I have just received a resubmit on my last module and as soon as i clear that up i am done.

Hay everyone, im also studing to become an aged care worker, im on my second module in corrispondance and having alot of difficulty answering one of the assignment questions if anyone has a input on how to answer this question it would be much appriciated.
WHAT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES WOULD YOU FOLLOW WHEN REPORTING ON THE FOLLOWING SITUATION? Mrs action is 81 yrs old and lives alone, you assist her on a daily basis as she suffers decreased mobility and arthritis, you arrive to find she is distressed and anxious because she fell over the night before and now worries for her own safety? Im finding it hard because i know every nursing home has different policies on reporting incidents like this!
