Hello Everybody,

My name is Jodie. I have been thinking about nursing for a few years now (6 to be exact) ever since I had my first child actually. I am taking the plunge and starting study on the 8th of August. I have enrolled in the senior first aid cert, applied for my blue card and put in all my forms for the police check. I haven't studied for 12 years so I know this is going to be super hard but I have a lot of friends and nursing friends that are going to help me. I also have MS which is going to be fun. Might even become a MS nurse one day.

Is there anyone else out there that has enrolled yet for the August 11 intake?

Also I just like to say that this forum is awesome. I have been looking everywhere for a good forum and this one takes the cake by far.

Hiya Mark, TAFEs usually will accept applications for positions in EEN courses, you should have no problem. Only maybe to chekc if they require you to complete a n entrance exam to see is you're suitable or eligible to pursue this course. Different states different entrance exam names but basically they test you for your maths (simple stuff, no standard deviation stuff or maths C ... lol) and comprehension. All the best

Hi Jodie,
I am also starting online in August. Trying to get together the text books and look into accommodation, are you doing F/T or P/T? I think I might start off P/T as I work and have a family to juggle. Anyway good luck with it all, cheers Sandra.
