I have a grad program to start in September this year, in an area that I am interested in, however the problem is that I have a non-nursing job that I also like. This job enables me to do lots of overtime which means I earn a lot more money than I will in my grad program. This job is in more of a social work context and I am able to work 12 hour shifts which means I can have lots of days off and still work enough hours.
I don't know what to do. I suppose nursing provides more long term opportunities to work up to a higher pay scale, and skills which wil enable me always to have a job. But nursing is more stressful and requires more hard yakka.
I will probably do my grad program.
