Hi everyone, Just found out yesterday that I am accepted into UTS city & have also been accepted into the UTAS 2 yr accelerated course. Can anyone offer advice on how they have found either of these courses & how & why either course would be better. Obviously the extra year study is a huge thing so the 2yr course is atractive on face value, but would be interested in current students have found either of these courses. Thanks & hi all, new here! :)

Hi I ended up choosing UTAS 2 year course, for excatly that reason, it is 2 years. By this time next year I will only have 3 months to go, which is pretty appealing. Obviously if finishing the course quickly isnt a priority I would go with UTS, I DO think their course has benefits in terms of being on a major campus & probabaly some better teachers. At the end of the day though I have no regrets, I am enjoying the course & am well on my way. UTAS is for people wanting to get it over & done with, there is no social aspect on campus & there are some problems. It is a difficult course in that I have just started a 5 week placement which will be followed by a 4 week one, so the summer is very busy, so don't think it is an "easy" option.

Hi, thanks so much. Yes, I am looking to complete it in 2 years as I am a mature age student. Do you know if there will be any problems with the new registration coming in next year?. Which campus do you recommend Rozelle or St Vincents?. Thanks again for taking the time to write. :))

I dont anticipate any probs with registration. As for Rozelle or Darlo I can only I say that I go to Rozelle, its close and theres parking. Whichever is closer for you I guess, its most of the same teachers so not really much difference. I think Darlo do more pracs at St Vinnies.

some of the teachers could have been better, there is no library, there are some administrative & organisational problems with a satellite campus also. On teh whole though nothing that has prevented me doing well. It is also a VERY diverse student body, which can be problematic in that there are language & cultural difficulties & differences, of course this can also be a positive.

Hi Guys, Would you be able to recommend the main Text books required for first year at UTAS. I don't want to buy all of them if not required. Also where the best place is to get them. Thank you. I hope the course is going well for you all!. :)
