Hello Y'all,

I joined this site not to long ago. Very informative indeed and lots of positive energy in here *applause*!!

I also just wanted to say hi and am trying to reach out to all future nursing students - especially those starting in Griffith Uni, Gold Coast QLD in Feb 2010. Send me your hellos' if you want to keep in touch.

Many have said that me being 30 years old and leaving an established position of 10 years in the corporate world to embark into Nursing seems like a risk indeed but I can never be any happier for finally having the opportunity of pursuing something that I am passionate about!

Go nurses!

Massimo

Massimo,

I'm seriously thinking about doing either my EEN or RN next year. I've worked in aged care for about 12 years & have done my Cert 3 & Cert 4. I've been on the Gold Coast 3 months & moved up here from the NSW Central Coast. The Uni had an open day last Sunday, I wasn't able to go but would've love to, hope they have another one in the next 6 months. Did you go?

Rach : )

Hi Rach,

I'm a trainer with a French MNC dealing with travel-medical services. Its similar to the Royal Flying Doctors (which by the way, I've not seen any discussion here regarding aero-nurses).

I didn't have the chance for the open day - I'm currently overseas (in Singapore at the moment) but then again, I don't think I need it as I'm all set to start. My aim was to commence this year actually but I missed the application-by date.

If you are thinking of starting next year, make some inquiries quickly with the Uni. Griffith only does one intake per year and its only in Semester 1 (beginning of March usually) so if you miss the only intake for that year, you can only look at going the following year. It might differ with not other Uni's though.

Regards - M
