Hello :)

I've applied at UNSW and UWS to undertake a BA in Nursing in 2009. I'm 34 years old and havent studied since I left school when I was 16. I sat the STAT test which gave me a UAI of 74. Does anyone know if this will be high enough to get in?

Also, how many hours a week does a first year nursing student have to study, and how much of that is actually done at uni as opposed to independent study and clinical placements?

Sorry for the barrage of questions.

firstly congrats on applying for the course and I think you did a great job on the test, 74 sounds like a good score to me. I am not sure of the cut off, you prob can check theu VTAC ( or your state equivelant ) of the enter score for each uni.

I was told degree in nursing would be 4 days full time altough where I looked you could get lectures online which meant you could do some from home. Not sure if its the same for all unis though.

Best of luck with everything
