Hi everyone.

Firstly i want to say thanks for giving all your helpful advice. I am sitting my Vetassess Test tomorrow night and i am petrified!

I know i asked this question in regards to the medication questions and i thank those that replied so kindly however, for one last final clear up on the subject and to ease my stressed out mind, could someone who has sat the test please let me know if for the Maths questions in general, they give an example question first?? Or do they just jump straight into the questions with the multiple choice answers expecting that you already know how to work it all out??

It would be nice to know if i am going in blind or if they give a little help.

Thanks again, i am soooo nervous.

Katie.

Hi.

I didn't do too bad but not too well either. I aced the literacy part of it but i ran out of time on the numeracy part so didn't get a good score there due to not being able to answer them all. I am hoping to sit the Health Train test in October so i might do better there.

The Literacy part is quite easy really common sense stuff like "If Mary had two falls over the course of a day" how would you put that into a sentence and they give you examples and you need to pick the appropriate worded sentence. Also stuff like what's another name for "drugs" stuff like that. I found it quite easy it was the maths that got me, there's just not enough time you could hear everyone in the room gasp like omg we are nearly out of time! I don't think many people got through that bit fully lol. Hopefully i will do better on the 6th.

You should be fine hun it's really easy common sense for the most part.

Let me know how you go ok?

Good luck.

Hi Katie ,

Thank you for your information. And I am sure you will do well on the 6th. I did test before at Health train. The numeracy part was very easy and it about 20 question only But The literacy part was difficult for me because English is the second language.

Katie we must write any essay at vetassess test or not. And how it was? Did you remember the topics.

Good luck for your. You will do better there.

There are a couple of essay questions like Why do you want to be a nurse? Also writing a letter to a friend/relative asking them to stop smoking and why they should. That sort of thing. They give you a little story to read beforehand then you can use some of whats in that story to help write your essays. However those were the questions on my test and as there are 2 versions of it (so people won't cheat) you may get the other one and i am not sure that the essay questions are the same?? I assume they would be as there is no point cheating on those as it's your point of view but yeah those were the ones i got.

Hope that helps and thanks for the wishes for the 6th i hope i do well.

Good luck.
