Hi Guys,

I'm a returning student to Nursing, I started in 2004 and studied 13 units before leaving and now I'm trying to come back through University of Tasmania. I know offers are sent out from October onwards, but I'm worried I won't get in now as I thought I would find in October. Does anyone remember their dates that they got in at UTAS if they were mature age and applied online?

Hi Whiskeyhotel, I am a victorian student who applied in 2011 and I recall the UTAS acceptances came out around the early acceptances of VTAC in victoria which is about the 20th November (it was in 2011). I was accepted to both UTAS and other universities in victoria so I currently study in victoria, but don't despair yet, there is still time! (I am mature age and applied online). I notice your post is a few weeks old, have you heard something yet? :)

Hey!

Thanks for reply! Much appreciated. I actually got an e-mail on Friday afternoon saying they are now assessing it, so fingers crossed. IF I do get in, my next worry is how much credit I get. I'm hoping to get it done in a year. Thanks again for reply and good luck with your study!

Hey all, I got an unsuccessful e-mail in January saying the cut off for non school leavers was distinction average for at least 3 semesters, so I was a bit bummed, but got onto UAC and applied for lot's of courses and to my surprise I got into B.Arts/Master of Nursing at University of Sydney (my top preference). I may get some credits for some studies in policing, but Nursing has been 10 years this year, so I have to admit defeat, suck it up and finally finish what I started. 

I was totally shocked not getting in but am much more happy to be graduating from top NSW University, one of the top 80 in the world and with a Masters, so I must be thankful! :)

Well, randomly I got a last minute offer on Friday to start tomorrow, so pretty excited! I had already been accepted and enrolled into USYD but I have to take UTAS, it's a much better option for me, and then I might do my Master at USYD later. So excited. Any other UTAS students starting this year?
