i am interested in getting in to palliative care so i have started Aged care cret 3, there is another course on offer and i dont know if i should be doing it to it is Home and community care cert 3 can any one please tell me if one or both of these are the right choice for me for the line of work i am looking to start ???

hi there,
there are cert's in palliative care, but I would recommend doing a cert 3 in age care as well. When you do start another cert, remember that some of your units might cross over meaning you won’t have to study as much.

Palliative Care is very involved and it is great you feel a passion to 'qualify' in this area.
As an RN working with the aged, I find I agree with JJB and that you should do the Cert III or IV in Aged Care first.
After all, many of the clients are the elderly and you will give yourself a grand foundation with the knowledge gained.
Palliative Care may indeed cross credit units; sounds very probable. ALL the best in your endeavours as you train.
